I’m excited to share that the new Soft Hills album Mysterium is finished.
It’s our eighth full-length release, recently mixed and mastered in London by Guy Massey (former head engineer at Abbey Road Studios). The record evolved during a period of travel and recording across the U.S. It moves between intimate songwriting and more expansive, cinematic arrangements, shaped by experimental production and a psychedelic, hallucinatory sound.
I recorded much of it in Los Angeles with Garrit Tillman and Arthur De Palla, along with contributions from Karl Blau and others. It feels like the most fully realized version of the project so far.
